YOUNG MUSICIANS - COME AND JOIN US

This international competition realizes the idea of encouraging and promoting talented young musicians in their professional career.

Above all the competition aims likewise at judging the participants’ musical talents and their development until now, taking their age into account.

This competition is organized in its own special way: The young musicians will not give their performances - as it is usually done - following a given order of instruments and categories of age but in a casual sequence decided by lot regardless of their particular instruments and their age.

The jury consists of professors from renowed music academies as well as other known and respected representatives of music criticism and music management.

The program of the competition offers the participants the possibility of presenting themselves and their instruments with different kinds of musical styles according to their technical skills.

Besides the bestowal of the awards some of the winners will be distinguished by their own public concert during the International Music Festival Oldenburger Promenade.

Some selected prize-winners and/or some of those who will haven won special notice will be given a contract for their public appearances.

The next  international competition will take place in 2013.
